Another beauty...

This beauty is a design by Jennifer Corkish and belongs to Lynne.  It is mostly done by hand with a bit of machine sewing. It is called "The Wedding Quilt".

"Just do custom" was the note, and so off I went.  There are, of course, lots of feathers, curvy lines, straight lines and a bit of fill.

All the quilting is done freehand with the help of rulers and templates.  No computerised work on this one.

And, Lynne's specialty, pieced backs to go with the front.

 Enjoy,
Belinda

If you're interested, I was listening to Dragonfly in Amber by Diana Gabaldon on my ipod for this one.

Stack and whack and cats and fishes

I have had the pics for this beauty for a while, but not got my act together, but here they are, better late than never.  The quilt design is by Ann Visman, and quilt belongs to Eleanor.

It is quilted with a mixture of freehand and statler work.  The cats and fish designs are from One Song Needle Arts, although I did adapt them to make them fit in the spaces.

The back - obviously :)

I can't decide if I like the fish or the cats better..

Enjoy
Belinda
